Heading up GSC is Guy Singleton, a fully qualified, registered electrical and electronics engineer who has worked closely with CEDIA since 1998, during that time volunteering for numerous CEDIA initiatives, in addition to the following:
· Currently resides on the CEDIA EMEA standards council, the PDAC (professional Development Advisory Council), CEDIA technology council as well as many of the technical councils and white paper groups.
· Teaches and lectures internationally and is a subject matter expert for CEDIA’s education council, specialising in lighting, HVAC, home theatre design, fundamental electrical theories, electrical maths and control systems and programming.
· Previously a judge for both the CEDIA USA and Global awards program.
· Qualified ISF instructor.
· Closely involved with the IET’s (Institute of Engineering Technology’s) new standards document for low voltage DC distribution in the home (LVDC 2.4 Technical Committee).
· A respected and authoritative technical contributor towards various standards documents.
· Inventor of the globally renowned and multi award-winning home theatre design software formerly known as The Cinema Designer (TCD), now owned by CEDIA and renamed, The CEDIA Designer.
· Inventor of lighting design software, The Lighting Designer.
· Founder of prestigious and multi award-winning UK custom integration company, Imagine This.
· Founder of bespoke engineering company, Quantum Control, which builds and pre-programs custom-built environmental control panels for the AV and electrical industries.
· Acted as a consultant for Crestron UK, heading up the company’s EMEA lighting and HVAC division.
